Sean O Casey Bridge (Droichead Sheáin Uí Chathasaigh)

The Seán O’Casey footbridge was commissioned by the Dublin Docklands Development Authority and was built to improve pedestrian linkages in the rapidly expanding docklands area of the city.

Sean O Casey Bridge (Droichead Sheáin Uí Chathasaigh)

It is named after the playwright and Irish Citizen Army member Seán O’Casey (1880–1964) who lived in the North Wall area of the city.

It is a three span swing bridge, spanning 97m and is 4.5m in width.
